We were used to put exception mappers on parser exception, we were used to have a 500 by default, this is two trivial to reproduce use cases you broke with this change. JavaEE (jakarta now) forbids such breaking changes, period, specific expert groups didnt have the choice to change that. Now you last sentence is wrong, you have a "vote" but what, as a project, we can't accept is to break our end users.
