Hi Matt, I was having a look at [1] and tried to get the source code from the Git repo mentioned there [2] (and it worked). I have tried building with ant and everything worked while I got some errors with Maven, but maybe I miss some configuration steps (I really just typed 'ant' and 'mvn clean install'). Regarding Git at Apache, there's some documentation at [3]; as far as I know from previous experience we (ASF committers) just use Git as our SCM whereas readonly Github repos get sync'ed in minutes / hours, but still can be used for e.g. pull requests. I am sure there's a more comprehensive documentation somewhere but I do not have the link at hand right now.
