By the way, great talk at rails conf.  I wanted to follow up on my 
question at the session about documentation for extension writing.  Can 
anyone point me towards either some documentation on writing extensions 
or a good example of how extensions are written?  I've found a couple of 
gems that are broken because not all of the standard ruby extensions are 
implemented and I would like to write the extensions to fix the gems.  
Specifically, the Stomp gem is broken, and the daemons gem is broken.  
Stomp is missing the io/wait extension and daemons is missing the 
File#umask method.  Thanks.
