When backref moved to Frame, a number of methods that were formerly "fast"
stopped correctly setting backrefs because they don't have frames associated
with them and aren't referencing the correct frame. They need to be fixed.
Try running testString.rb from the command-line. The errors it produces are
being swallowed during the build.
