Yeah, I think Charlie once did a loop of 10 installs in a row and by the end things were getting pretty close in perf to MRI (and that was some time ago -- so we are probably better now). So hotspot is great for server workloads and ultimately this will be good for things like Rails.
For client loads we need to still try and get things to run as fast as it can cold.
