With the completion of the JRuby compiler on the 1.1 branch, we will be
doing no further work on improving or fixing the compiler on the 1.0
branch. This means that additional features will be rejected and any
bugs found will only be patched if they're extremely minor; anything
major will just result in us turning off compilation for that syntax.
Users interested in running with the compiler should consider a
migration to 1.1 when it is released (hopefully next month or soon
after). Only the 1.1 compiler will be continue to be enhanced and fixed
in any meaningful way.
This should not affect most users of JRuby 1.0.x, since the 1.0 compiler
only comes into play for a very small subset of code.
