RubyTime and other places suffer from the insanity of the Java Date/Calendar
API's. If we could base it on Joda instead, I expect something more readable
and with better performance.
This is something that patches would be welcome for. It would be a nice change,
but for the committers it probably doesn't have priority without a patch.
