Unable to upload images to the WIKI

Whan I try to upload an image to the WIKI I get the following error message:
The file is corrupt or has an incorrect extension. Please check the file and
upload again.
The file is not corrupt. I have tried PNG anf GIF images of sizes from 101KB
to 7KB. The error message is always the same.
I would like to contribute more on the WIKI, but it gets so boring without
images or videos. Screencasts are very useful when explaining something.
