The fix for JRUBY-3896 (Nick Sieger committed it in 8840bda) contains a trivial
issue, where a new variable JRUBY_OPTS_TEMP is not properly clear before use.
So, as unlikely as it might be, this variable can affect jruby's execution
inadvertently.
It should be assigned an empty string, or unset.
