TMail supports an override to avoid native C extensions for its functionality.
NORUBYEXT="true" gem install tmail
jgem fails to install tmail due to mkmf.rb raising an error "JRuby does not
support native extensions. Check wiki.jruby.org for alternatives."
The fix is to comment out the raise block and comment out line 154 "abort
"can't find header files for ruby.""
