I totally missed this, but it sounds awesome! I have been talking with Sonatype guys about how best to make Maven depend on and install gems, and it seems like you're well on your way. Can we talk more about this? What's the current status (anything changed since your original email a couple weeks ago)? Perhaps you might also be willing to collaborate on the "polyglot maven" project? I believe that seamless two-way integration of Maven and RubyGems would be a great help to JRuby adoption going forward.
