Description:

(This may be related to JRUBY-7106, though what I'm seeing is a bit different, so I thought I would make a new issue anyway.)
I am seeing the jruby launcher occasionally fail on a 64-bit machine using a 32-bit jvm / jruby. I will attach two Xtrace logs that ran in immediate succession, one worked and the other didn't. It somehow ended up calculating -Djdk.home to be "è^T", and then does not include the rest of the command line arguments.
