Issue Type: Bug Bug
Assignee: Thomas E Enebo
Created: 12/Apr/13 3:10 AM
Description:

When creating a directory on a mapped network drive, FileUtils.mkdir_p creates an extra directory named after the drive letter. Example:

Previously, drive W: has been mapped to a network share.

w:\xxx> jirb
Configuring IRB...
irb(main):001:0> require 'fileutils'
=> true
irb(main):002:0> Dir.entries('.')
=> [".", ".."]
irb(main):003:0> FileUtils.mkdir_p('w:/xxx/aaa/bbb')
=> ["w:/xxx/aaa/bbb"]
irb(main):004:0> Dir.entries('.')
=> [".", "..", "w", "aaa"]
irb(main):005:0>

The directories 'w:/xxx/aaa' and 'w:/xxx/aaa/bbb' are created as they should. However, an additional directory named 'w:/xxx/w' has also been created.

NOTE: It seems that the extra directory is only created if the current directory is the one in which the new directory is to be created. In the example that is "w:/xxx".
