as the update for selenide (which released 5.17.0 a couple of days ago) didn't 
seem to be caught by dependabot, I went to see what was going on; it seems that 
the referenced syntax for ignoring certain versions wasn't a valid yaml markup. 
A couple minutes search arrived at a [working 
example|https://github.com/apache/maven-script-interpreter/blob/master/.github/dependabot.yml]
 and now PRs for upgrading versions are arriving as expected.
