Thanks for trying it. I found a problem on the way back from the WYSIWYG editor: when the page was saved, the image source was decoded as a URL, so each '+' in the base64 text became a space and the image was corrupted. A link with spaces in it is not accepted as an inline image, which would explain the InterWiki message that you got, although I have not seen your page text, so I cannot be sure. I pushed a second commit that keeps a data URL as it is, with a test through the HTML to wiki translator that fails without it, and a parser test for a data URL with '+' and '/' in it. I have not tried the editor in a browser.
