Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-367:
---------------------------------------
Checked with the current code (master plus an unrelated parser change, Tomcat
10.1) on a page with the comment form, once with the plain editor and once with
the wysiwyg editor, which replaces FCKeditor.
Plain editor: after posting a comment, the form opened again for the same page
has an empty text, and keeps the name and the link of the last comment. The
saved page has the text, a line and the signature with that name and link.
Wysiwyg editor: the preview of the comment shows the typed text and no null,
the comment is posted, and the form opened again has an empty editor and an
empty preview, with the same name and link kept.
So the text of the last comment is not reused in either editor, and I could not
see the null of the first point. What is kept is the name and the link, which I
read as the second and third points; if that is what the report meant, it looks
like the intended behaviour, but I am not sure it is. FCKeditor does not exist
in this code any more, so the original case was not tried. I leave the issue
open for the reporters to confirm.

> Components: Templates and UI
> Affects Versions: 2.7.x

> Priority: Minor
>
> Found some further issues:
> # When commenting with FCKeditor, the preview shows "null" and the comment
> text has gone when going back to edit mode.
> # When commenting with plain editor, both comment text and comment of the
> comment are used from the last comment made. Don't know if this is a bug or a
> feature, though.
> # Like #2 also with FCKeditor, but only the comment of the comment (and not
> the text) gets reused.
