Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-1066:
----------------------------------------
Reproduced on master with the test engine. I saved a page ChildQ, a page HostQ
whose text is only the InsertPage plugin for ChildQ, and a page LinkerQ with a
normal link to ChildQ. The referrers of ChildQ given by ReferenceManager were
only LinkerQ; HostQ, which inserts it, was not among them. That is the data
that ReferringPagesPlugin reads, so an inserted page is not seen as referenced,
as the report says.
Limits: one level of insertion, with the page parameter of the plugin, and the
test engine and not a running wiki. Leaving the issue open.
> Inserted page is not considered as referenced

> An inserted page is marked as referenced by nothing (empty "Incoming links",
> empty result from ReferringPagePlugin).
> For example, this makes it hard to figure out in which page a page is
> inserted.
> Inserting and linking are obviously a bit different, but I would personally
> expect that an inserted page gets considered the same way as a linked one
> regarding references.
