Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-1191:
----------------------------------------
Reproduced on the current master (3.0.1-SNAPSHOT) with a unit test that renders
the markup, without a browser.
The wiki markup [data:image/png;base64,...] gives exactly the message of this
report: No InterWiki reference defined in properties for Wiki called "data"!
The same happens with the link that has a text,
[data:image/png;base64,...|data:image/png;base64,...]. The markup [{Image
src='data:image/png;base64,...'}] is rendered by the Image plugin without that
error; I did not check that the picture is shown.
The message suggests that the parser takes "data" as the prefix of an InterWiki
link; I did not trace it in the parser. I did not try the WYSIWYG editor itself
in a browser, nor the Markdown syntax.
The two ways discussed in 2024 are still open: store the pasted image as an
attachment and write its link, or let the parser accept data:image URLs. I did
not implement either, because the choice is a design decision; I would like to
hear which one the project prefers.
> Wysiwyg editor, pasting in an image produces a data url, but renders an error

> I'm in search of an easy way for users to put images into wiki content
> besides the attachments upload option, then manually linking them. So i tried
> to just paste in some content to the wysiwyg editor. which worked in the
> editor, however after viewing the page, i got this. note: this happens with
> markdown syntax or with the default syntax
