Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-666:
---------------------------------------
Checked on the current master (3.0.1-SNAPSHOT) with a unit test. With
jspwiki.encoding=UTF-8, a page called with the Chinese title from this report
is stored by the default file provider as
%E7%B6%AD%E5%9F%BA%E4%B8%AD%E6%96%87%E6%B8%AC%E8%A9%A6.txt (plus a .properties
file with the same name), so the behaviour described here is unchanged. With
the ISO-8859-1 encoding of the test properties the characters are lost and the
file is called %3F%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F.txt, which is a configuration effect and not
the subject of this issue.
I did not test other providers, other operating systems or the length limits of
file names. Changing the naming would affect existing wikis, as Harry wrote in
2010, so I leave it as a design decision.

> When i create pages with chinese titles for example: Page title is '維基中文測試'
> it stores the wiki page as
> '%E7%B6%AD%E5%9F%BA%E4%B8%AD%E6%96%87%E6%B8%AC%E8%A9%A6.txt'
> Due to this we are facing problem:
> 1. To indentify the pages in back-end
> 2. file names become too lengthy
> 3. Zipping the folder with lengtheir names giving error
> Could someone suggest is there some alternative way to store specifically
> chinese related page titles and whether we store the file name same as
> ''維基中文測試.txt '
> We need solution for this little urgent. Thanks in advance.
