We *did* adopt a validation framework since; so we now validate the forms,
which got rid of a lot of "weird" errors. At this point should have an
'innocent' user go through an record what type of error messages come up; At
the moment we tend to hand server side errors right into the UI, and hopelessly
confuse the user.
