Hello all, I have just cut the branch for 2.8 and sent the notification email to the dev mailing list.
As a reminder, the next checkpoint toward the 2.8.0 release is Code Freeze on Feb 17th. To ensure a high-quality release, we should now focus our efforts on stabilizing the 2.8 branch, including resolving failures, writing new tests, and fixing documentation.
