The PR https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/<https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/20564>20564<https://github.com/apache/kafka/pull/20564> to fix this bug https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-19697 has been in review for several months now, with all comments resolved. Can someone please give it another look? I'd really like this bug to be fixed and released since it's preventing us from upgrading from kafka 3.5.1.
