@Josep: yes, agreed. But it seems very likely that 5.0 will meet the one
year cliff -- if not, yes, we would need to move removal to 6.0 release.

There is only one tiny thing, I remember I asked several years ago how long
an item needed to be deprecated before we could delete it and back then the
answer was 1 year. Just sharing this in case we do a quick 5.0 release.
