Hi, I'd like to start a vote on KIP-1266 which proposes to turn the current remote log metadata topic for the tiered storage to compacted topic, to limit the number of messages that need to be iterated to build the remote metadata state and remove the burden to tune the retention time for this topic when operating the tiered storage.
