We have identified several blocker bugs in 4.2.0 release:
KAFKA-20332,
KAFKA-20322, KAFKA-20254. Two of these bugs are fixed, and one is
expected to be fixed soon. I would therefore suggest starting the
process for a 4.2.1 bug fix release.
If there is agreement, I will publish a release plan in the coming
days. I will volunteer to be RM for the release. Of course, I'm also
open to someone else taking the RM role.
