The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Kafka is pleased to announce Sushant Mahajan as a new Kafka committer.
Sushant has made several significant contributions to the project. He built upon the work of the coordinator framework to introduce the share coordinator responsible for managing the state of share groups. He created the batching and pruning mechanisms central to the share coordinator's operation, balancing performance and resource usage while ensuring data integrity. More recently, he added dead-letter queue support for share groups. He shows great attention to detail and persistence in his contributions, and is a pleasure to work with.
