There is no official documentation about tokenless login in
authentication-using-sasl.md. Some users (see KAFKA-21143) rely on
{{OAuthBearerUnsecuredLoginCallbackHandler}} as a workaround for validate-only
brokers, and KAFKA-21221 will raise a discussion to provide an official handler
for it.
Since KAFKA-21221 needs a KIP cycle, it would be better to document the current
behavior first 🙂
