Hi Jiunn-Yang, Thanks for running the release. I verified 4.3.2-rc3 as follows:
- Verified the SHA512 checksums and GPG signatures of the source and binary tarballs. They are signed by Jiunn Yang Huang, whose key is in KEYS. - Built from source with JDK 17 (./gradlew clean build -x test). - Ran the clients and core unit tests. All core tests passed. One clients test failed once (SaslAuthenticatorTest .testValidSaslScramMechanisms). It passed in 5 reruns, and SaslAuthenticatorTest is already flaky on Develocity, so I think it is a flaky test. - Started a KRaft broker from the binary tarball with JDK 17. Produced and consumed with none, gzip, snappy, lz4 and zstd compression. - Started apache/kafka:4.3.2-rc3 and apache/kafka-native:4.3.2-rc3 with the default config (using podman). Produce and consume work on both. - Ran the full system tests on the rc3 commit (0a6c96d3): https://jenkins.opensource4you.tw/job/kafka-e2e/975/ 1116 tests, 1103 passed, 11 failed. I checked the logs of all 11 failures.
