Depending on how you look at it, it is either science faire for grownups or free conference booth for open source companies. Apache Kafka itself no longer fits the criteria of "emerging" (yay!), but there are a lot of Kafka related projects out there that will fit. Things like burrow, yahoo's management console, schema repository, rest proxy, ducktape, etc. So, if you have a pet project that you want to promote and you want the best platform possible to do it on - please send it in! We want lots of Kafka related projects in there :) Gwen
