[~granders] I have submitted a PR for review so that I can get feedback. These
tests dont require ConsoleConsumer timeout, hence they can be run with the new
consumer. I will create a separate JIRA to add timeout for the ConsoleConsumer
based on your suggestion so that more tests can be run with the new
consumer/SSL.
