I came across this long closed issue because of BIGTOP-2365 and I should say
that there's an easy way out of the situation. In Bigtop we simply have a
modified version of the wrapper that download all required binaries unless they
are present. The wrapper is source only, hence no binaries are getting checked
into our repo. Perhaps, something to look at. Cheers.
