Seems reasonable to me -- the new consumer has been in solid shape for the past
release cycle. I'd only push it back if we wanted to create a bigger window for
people to transition without deprecation warnings. My only concern is that
since we haven't talked about which time-based release will be 0.11.0.0 (which
is when the deprecated code could be removed), we can't currently give anyone
an idea of the timeframe in which they need to convert their applications if
they want to keep working with the most recent versions of Kafka.
