After investigation, I have found that the InternalStreamsBuilder#globalTable method is the only instance where the constructor for GlobalKTableImpl is called. The KTableValueGetterSupplier parameter used in this particular constructor is an instance of KTableSourceValueGetterSupplier. Hence, your requirement is satisfied.
