+1 Ok, after some time with the Jamie, I got it working. The following notes are here for windows users: 1) After you install Prince 7.1, point your PATH environment variable to <where you installed Prince>/Prince/Engine/bin. For some reason, this is different on linux and Ubuntu (<installation location>/Prince/bin). 2) use the following to compile karaf: mvn clean install -Pmanual 3) If you are using mvn 3.0.2 (mvn 2.2.1 causes memory issues on my NT box), dont' worry about the Itest failure. If the failure is keeping you from building, use the following to compile karaf: mvn clean install -Pmanual -fn 4) Even though the website says to use JDK 1.5, you must use JDK 1.6.x. This is because of a Scalate dependency. 5) Set the environment variable MAVEN_OPTS to -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m 6) If you notice that the Karaf :: Assembler is failing along with the itests, but everything else is compiling fine, go into apache-karaf-2.0.0/assemblies and type mvn clean install. Then everything you want will be installed into your local maven repository and in apache-karaf-2.0.0/assemblies/apache-karaf/target.
HOpe this helps some of you other Windows users. ----- Karafman Slayer of the JEE Pounder of the Perl Programmer -- View this message in context: http://karaf.922171.n3.nabble.com/VOTE-Release-Karaf-version-2-2-0-2nd-try-tp2576562p2584662.html Sent from the Karaf - Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
