Agree that's it's the good time. As the next 3.0 will be a major release, it's a good time to get feedback from users and community.

We've released 2.2.0 a few weeks ago and heading toward 3.0, so I
wonder if now would be a good time for a survey ?

Hi All,

As part of planning for the future Apache Karaf 3.x line I think that
we should consider running a user survey. A precedent for running a
survey was set by the Apache Camel community as part of their Camel
3.0 roadmap [1]. I believe they used a service from a third party [2]
in order to actually collect data.

If we decide that a user survey would be in the best interest in
helping to define and focus our efforts for the Karaf 3.x branch then
we can open a discussion on the main dev email list to compile a list
of questions we'd like to have answered. Personally, I think we can
reuse a fare portion of the questions the Camel community asked
(Operating System supported, JVM version used, etc).

What do you think?

Cheers,
Jamie
