you mean in the webconsole included by default in Karaf (feature:install
webconsole) or the "new" Karaf WebConsole project ?
The embedded Karaf console is powered by Felix WebConsole. It's mainly
javascript.
Which kind of long running tasks are you executing in the WebConsole ?
