in the etc/org.ops4j.pax.url.mvn.cfg, in the defaultRepositories
section, if you use something like:
http://user:pass@myhost/repo
no, password has to be "in clear" (encrypted is not supported).
I created a Jira a while ago to leverage the <repositories/> section of
the settings.xml or support "encrypted" password as we do in the jaas
layer. I have to work on it.
