Hi friends, As per the process documented at https://attic.apache.org/process.html this is the formal discussion, preceding a [VOTE], to move Kibble to the Attic.
While Kibble is an interesting (to me) project, which has given useful insight into ASF projects’ health over the years, we have been simply unable to build a developer/user community around it which can sustain it as a project, to the standards that ASF projects are expected to sustain. Sadly, activity in this project has been roughly zero for some time. Except for a burst of activity in August where I was tinkering with the website, and 4 commits by Sharan in 2024, there’s been nothing else for 2 years. So, getting a sense from the community, such as it is, whether this is the right path forward. I’m +1 to going to the Attic, and have anecdotal evidence that others are in agreement. We’ll let this thread go for 3 or 4 days, and then hold a formal vote. — Rich Bowen [email protected]
