Dear Apache KIE Dev Community, This topic was raised in last week's community meeting [1], and today, I'm thrilled to share some good news with all of you. We've just received confirmation that using the Hibernate ORM dependency (LGPL, classified as Category-X) will not block the release of Apache KIE 10.0.0 as long as we use the proper disclaimer.
Thanks to the discussions in this thread: [2], we've been made aware of a Work In Progress (WIP) Disclaimer that allows us to proceed with releases that might not be fully compliant with ASF standards. You can read more about this disclaimer here [3]. This development is a significant milestone for us, and we can move forward confidently towards the 10.0.0 release.
