No better motivation for moving something forward than *needing* to. :)
Patches are generally attached to the JIRA.
We have a precommit test that will kick off when you submit it.
The see the previous comment from [~sumit.gupta] regarding GatewayBasicFuncTest
and and the need for some examples.
We could then work on a separate JIRA for docs.
