KnoxSSO provides the ability to integrate enterprise SSO solutions via multiple
authentication/federation providers. However, there is too little context to
have any of them work out of the box by default. This improvement will add a
simple authentication application to the Knox deployment (via KNOX-670) that
will establish a login and a KnoxSSO cookie to be used by third party
applications like Apache Ambari, Apache Ranger, Hadoop UIs and by other Knox
applications in order to consumer REST APIs through the Knox API Gateway.
