I did the following to verify the RC:
* Verified signatures
* Built from source and ran all unit tests
* Tested various services using curl and/or knoxshell
- WebHDFS
- Hbase
- Oozie
- Hive
- WebHCat
* Tested the knoxshell certificate verification
* Checked to see if the Admin UI was still working :)
