Yes this is still an issue. I checked it with Knox 0.13.0 and the Solr 7.1.0.
https://localhost:8443/gateway/default/solr/ works correctly.
https://localhost:8443/gateway/default/solr fails. I've attached a screenshot
of what the results is.
