Larry McCay commented on KNOX-1158:
-----------------------------------
Hi [~gareththegeek] - I think we need to take a step back and untangle general
proxying with the service definition from KnoxSSO.
It seems to be recognizing the service definitions - otherwise, it wouldn't
have redirected you. I would change the authentication back to Shiro for just
username and password against the DEMO LDAP server.
Make sure that proxying works properly.
Once you know that it does, then you can try to access via KnoxSSO.
Perhaps there is some needed improvement in SSOCookieProvider that we can
narrow down.
I am inclined to close this as invalid and let this discussion continue on the
dev@ list.
Subscribing and verifying the subscription should be all you need.
If it turns out that there is an actual issue with adding new service
definitions then we can reopen this one.

> I am unable to add new services to my Apache Knox installation. I am trying
> to add Apache Stanbol and Marmotta to a Knox installation. I have also tried
> to add a static html site hosted in tomcat without success.
> I have attached my topology and services xml files.
> When I attempt to visit a page within one of the new services, I am
> redirected correctly to knoxsso but once I've authenticated I am taken to a
> 404 page from knox.
> I am able to authenticate with knoxsso and visit existing services such as
> webhdfs without any issue.
