Currently we create ".sha" files when creating the release artifacts. However
this contradicts the Apache guidelines (and the INFRA team contacted me about
this same issue for another Apache project):

"An SHA checksum SHOULD also be created and MUST be suffixed as:
.sha1 for a SHA-1 checksum"
