Kevin Risden commented on KNOX-1743:
------------------------------------

I think you might be missing JOBHISTORYUI or SPARKHISTORYUI service definition
in your topology file? I tested most of the YARNUI service definition rules in
KNOX-1207. The 404 I would guess comes from not being able to hit the
JOBHISTORYUI or SPARKHISTORYUI through the YARN proxy?

Check to make sure that you can get to the MR Job History Server or Spark
History Server through Knox without the tracking URL quicklink. something like
this url: https://KNOX_HOST:KNOX_PORT/gateway/topology/sparkhistory/ or
https://KNOX_HOST:KNOX_PORT/gateway/topology/jobhistory/

> The "Tracking UI" History link from the Yarn UI Service points to
> {noformat}
> https://knox/gateway/cluster/yarn/proxy/{application id}{noformat}
> But clicking the link leads to an HTTP 404 error.

> I traced the redirections (spaghetti) while simulating a click on the same
> link from a non-proxified Yarn UI. Here are the curl debug logs:
