Sandor Molnar commented on KNOX-267:
------------------------------------
[~krisden],
I tried to reproduce this issue without any success: authenticated to Kerberos
server with either _knox/\{$GATEWAY_HOST}@REALM_ or
_HTTP/\{$GATEWAY_HOST}@REALM_ then restarted the gateway. In any case, I was
able to hit HDFS UI through the gateway (that is supposed to be using SPNEGO).
Am I missing something?
Please note this is a 5-year-old issue; it may be fixed already.

> If there is a TGT for knox cached on while knox is starting, Knox to Hadoop
> SPNego authentication fails.
> We have to research and find a resolution for this.
> One known resolution that we could fallback is:
> gateway.sh calling kdestroy.
> This problem would not be hit by most of the users.
> The problem would be hit by advanced users, developers who do kinit on the
> box knox.
