I decided to try a different test setup to verify 0.3.1 than I usually use.
Before anyone asks, I don't think this is the cause of the error I found.
At any rate, I wanted to use the RPM for my testing this time around and
that meant using a VM.
So this is what I was trying.
Hadoop: Sandbox 2.0 GA VM running
Knox: Centos 6.4 VM with gateway.jar and ldap.jar running
Desktop: curl and shell.jar for the groovy scripts
In the end I was never able to get hit Knox from the Desktop. I used
Vagrant to setup the Knox VM and I must have been setting up the network
wrong. I tried a private network with port forwarding from the Desktop
box. I tried using a public network for Knox. Nothing worked. Note
that I never actually made it to running the groovy scripts on the
Desktop. I couldn't even get a simple curl GET to connect to the Knox
box. Note that I did use curl GET to connect directly to the Sandbox VM
from Desktop.
So I ended up doing my testing running the clients on the Knox box.
Anyone have a Vagrantfile that would work for this scenario?
