OK. Given that, I'd recommend just using something like:
mkdir -p /opt/kudu/{bin,www}
cp build/release/bin/{kudu,kudu-tserver,kudu-master} /opt/kudu/bin/
rsync -av --delete www/ /opt/kudu/www/
