Sounds good, Grant! Looking briefly over the git log, here are a few things that stood out to me as release-note-worthy:
KUDU-2202: support for removing data directories (take two) KUDU-1097: turn on 3-4-3 replica management scheme KUDU-1489: allow configuration of metadata dir KUDU-2231: sparse column predicate can cause excessive data-block reads Improve scans dashboard KUDU-2253 Deltafile on-disk size is 3x larger than expected KUDU-721: Support for Decimal type, Part 1 (Server, C++ Client) KUDU-2279 (metrics logging by default) KUDU-2238. DMS not flush under memory pressure. Probably there are some others, and things yet-to-land in the next week or two (I at least have one big patch series outstanding), but figured I'd point out some things to get us started -Todd On Thu, Feb 15, 2018 at 2:42 PM, Grant Henke <ghe...@cloudera.com> wrote: > Hi Kudu dev community, > > It's been a little over 2 months since release 1.6.0 and we've got a bunch > of valuable improvements and bug fixes since (~177 commits). > Based on our usual 2-month cadence, now looks like a good time to start > thinking about a Kudu 1.7.0 release. > > I'll volunteer to RM this one.
